I've been listening to some old Chicago discs I picked up at the library. It's great to hear their early stuff again after so many years. Contrary to the 80's and beyond Chicago Light that we all know and loathe, these guys used to rock. And other than Blood, Sweat and Tears, I can't think of another rock band that incorporated horns as well as they did. (Speaking of which, there's a tune on the new Toto CD that has horns arranged by James Pankow and it's killer) Listening to these old songs, I came across this one that I don't think I'd ever heard before. As an artist, writer and all-around creative person, these lyrics really hit home.What do you want

Well, I was only mentioning rock bands with horn sections. EWF are R&B. If I were expanding the category I would also include Tower of Power. Speaking of EWF and Chicago, there is a DVD of them both playing live somewhere. I have it on reserve from the library. I hope it's good. I saw EWF on a special on TV one Saturday and they are just amazing!
