Halloween Countdown: Costumes from the Past

Over the next couple of weeks I'll share some of my past costume choices with you. Some will be embarrassing. Some will be cool. I'm not sure how to categorize this one. I think it's cool but you may have a different opinion.
This is from a Halloween party at my church somewhere around '76 or '77. My friends Gary, Jimmy and I dressed up at 3/4 of KISS. That's me in the middle as Peter Criss. We could not find a suitable Paul Stanley so we left him out. I don't think I'm wearing them in this pic but a friend of mine had made a pair of platform boots and I wore them to the party.
Many folks were shocked and dismayed at the audacity we had of showing up at a church dressed as Knights in Satan's Service. We knew we were going to shock people. That's why we did it!
Over the years, I dressed up as different KISS guys a few times but I can't find any other pics so this one will have to represent the group.
Heck, if I wasn't so fat I'd totally go as Alice Cooper this year. Yes, I'm fully aware of how weird I am. Welcome to my nightmare! Well, maybe my wife's nightmare actually.

good ol' rousseau hall...i'd recognize it anywhere although that pic is from before i was born. you know, they still had the halloween parties at olive in that room until i was like 11 or so...i've heard some of the stories about you being in youth group as a rebellious teen...haha, it makes me laugh but i suppose back then dressing as a rock and roll singer was big deal...

I like the fact that there are three KISS guys crowding around a fairly innocent looking rag-doll character. Now there's certainly something sinister about that!

I believe that Ace Frehley was definitely putting the moves on Raggedy Ann. It's all a bit creepy when you think of it that way.
