The Second Chance

I highly recommend this movie. Steve Taylor has done it! He has made a Christian movie that doesn't suck! (For the record, he also makes music that doesn't suck) Don't get me wrong. It's not a perfect movie but it's got guts and it's a step in the right direction.
This movie challenges the status quo of church life in such a powerful way. I am surprised the movie even got made. I rented it out of curiosity and I am so glad I did. I won't give away any plot points. You can watch it yourself. And as far as commentary on what is going thru my head after viewing this film...well...just watch the blog over the next few days. I'm sure I'll have something to say.

awesome. i'm glad you stumbled on Second Chance. i thought it was a very good film and you're right, it is a Christian movie thru-and-thru but it doesn't suck. i wanted badly to see it in theaters back in february, but it was such a limited run that i couldn't ever find time to get up to dallas to see it.

if you still have the rental, be sure and watch the special feature on the disc. they don't suck either.

all in all, considering that this was taylor's first full-length screenplay, first turn as producer and first time directing a feature-length film, combined with michael w. in the lead role as a first time actor... this film is remarkable in that regard.

well worth the rental (or in my case, the purchase).

be a clone.
